I wanted to celebrate the rich poster archive history that Rio cinema holds. From movie posters to how the riots and community based projects have adorned posters as a main means of communication. The triangle also resonates with the Rio logo itself which was surprising to discover when I created the poster. Attached an image for reference.

Sthuthi Ramesh is a London-based graphic designer with a wealth of experience at Londons leading studios, including Pentagram, Browns Design and Made Thought. She also runs her own independent practice, working with clients globally such as the Design Museum, the NHS, Mumbai’s gallery Jhaveri Contemporary; and is the co-founder of digital library Nicety Materials. |
