The reel was hanging in the Rio’s storage room. As beautiful as the design is, the text scrawled across the front creates it’s significance. Once meant as a simple instruction to other cinemas who may have borrowed the reel, it now takes on another meaning — as we begin to see a post covid world take shape, we can and must now literally return to the Rio Cinema.
